Dr. Christina Hibbert is the Founder and President of The Arizona Postpartum Wellness Coalition. Dr. Hibbert became interested in Perinatal Mood Disorders (PMDs) over 10 years ago, when she experienced Postpartum Depression after the birth of her first son. Since then, Dr. Hibbert has been committed to making the pregnancy and postpartum experience a positive one for women and their families. Dr. Hibbert received her Masters in Counseling and Doctorate of Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, California. She has been involved as a volunteer with Postpartum Support International for over eight years and is the co-founder of the Arizona Postpartum Support Warmline. Dr. Hibbert is the co-creator and producer of the professional educational video "Postpartum Couples" and has become an expert on both the mother's and father's experience of PMD's. In 2006, Dr. Hibbert was the recipient of the Postpartum Support International Jane Honikman Award for outstanding service in the field of perinatal mood disorders. She also developed the educational brochure "Postpartum Mood Disorders: What Every New Parent Should Know". Dr. Hibbert is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice, provides training and educational presentations on PMD's and is a co-creator and facilitator for the annual perinatal training "Perinatal Mood Disorders: Evaluation and Treatment" (see link on this website for further information).
